On Monday, May 15, China's A00 aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 140 per tonne to halt at RMB 17,940 per tonne. The average prices are expected to stand between RMB 18,010 per tonne and RMB 18,050 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 20 to a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne.
As per the data, the prices in Foshan and Chongqing the prices have grown by RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,120 per tonne and RMB 18,140 per tonne. In Wuxi and Tianjin, the prices have increased by RMB 150 per tonne and RMB 145 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,030 per tonne and RMB 18,085 per tonne. On the same day, in Gongyi and Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have ascended by RMB 140 per tonne and RMB 120 per tonne to peg at RMB 17,940 per tonne and RMB 18,110 per tonne. In Shenyang, the price has gained RMB 90 to score at RMB 18,080 per tonne.
On the other hand, the average alumina spot price has gone down by RMB 3 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,885 per tonne. The price in Bayuquan has recorded a plunge of RMB 50 per tonne to close at RMB 2,975 per tonne, followed by a fall of RMB 25 per tonne in Lianyungang to reside at RMB 2,925 per tonne. Shanxi's price has dipped by RMB 5 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,880 per tonne.
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has surged by RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,702 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have expanded by RMB 100 per tonne to score at RMB 25,700 per tonne and RMB 26,700 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price has dipped by US$5 per tonne to reach US$340 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) have hiked by RMB 150 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,850 per tonne and RMB 19,600 per tonne. For (A356), the average prices are expected to stand between RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne. The average price for aluminium alloys (A380) will likely be between RMB 19,500 per tonne and RMB 19,700 per tonne.
On the same day, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) has increased by RMB 50 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,550 per tonne, with the average prices expected to range between RMB 18,450 per tonne and RMB 18,650 per tonne.
