
According to the Shanghai Metal Market, the aluminium spot price has experienced an RMB 50 per tonne loss, officially stopping at RMB 18,530 per tonne today, June 15. The average aluminium price trends are between RMB 18,510 per tonne and RMB 18,550 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot price was RMB 18,030 per tonne on May 15, which means it has grown by RMB 500 per tonne or 2.77 per cent Month-on-Month.

The average alumina price has dropped RMB 3 per tonne in China, closing at RMB 2,823 per tonne, while the prices of alumina in Shandong and Guizhou have shed RMB 5 per tonne, stopping at RMB 2,795 per tonne and RMB 2,820 per tonne, respectively. In Henan, the alumina spot price has withered down by RMB 10 per tonne, resting at RMB 2,885 per tonne.
The eight major provinces in China have faced a coincidental situation where the prices of aluminium in Wuxi and Hangzhou clocked at the same bar of RMB 18,560 per tonne, each with a loss of RMB 20 per tonne. On the other hand, the aluminium spot prices in Chongqing, Tianjin and Linyi have all halted at RMB 18,530 per tonne, with RMB 50 per tonne fall in the first place, RMB 30 per tonne in the second and the third place recorded no change as such. In Shenyang, the aluminium spot price has decreased by RMB 40 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,500 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium in China has slumped by RMB 80 per tonne to officially close at RMB 19,113 per tonne.
