Zouping Hongfa Aluminium Science Technology Co. Ltd. has reportedly placed an order for one melting and holding furnace cell with Andritz AG, an Austrian plant engineering group with headquarters in Graz. The furnace cell will be installed in Zouping Hongfa’s plant in Shandong Province, China, and is expected to commence operations in the first quarter of 2022.

The new furnace cell supplied by Andritz AG will incorporate the largest furnaces in China, with two 115-tonnes round-top melters and two 125-tonnes tilting holders. According to the report, this will be the most advanced equipment and technology for state-of-the-art operation, ensuring the highest environmental protection.

Besides, the order includes engineering, manufacturing, commissioning, start-up, and follow-up services.

In 2012, Andritz also supplied four casting cells for Zouping Hongfa Aluminium Science Technology’s casting workshop, which at that time was the largest high-end aluminium plate and strip casthouse in China.
