Wrightstyle completes ten years of aluminium glazing systems business

Wrightstyle, a brand synonymous with bomb blast safety in the whole of Europe completed a decade of successful glazing systems business this year. In 2000, the company introduced its first ground-breaking glazing system which had the capacity to withstand the pressure impact of a powerful lorry bomb. Since then, the proven solution has dominated the market.
At the initial phase, Wrightstyle was approached by the Central Security and Co-ordination Command Centre with a set of specifications for ensuring total safety of the Asian Games hosted in Doha, Qatar in December 2006. The specially designed USD $31million building was supposed to be handed over to the Qatar military on completion of the Games. Accordingly, the glazing system was independently tested against the equivalent of 500 kilos of TNT, known to have explosive properties of that of a lorry bomb and almost ten times the size of a normal car bomb.
There were other specifications that had to be met by the glazing system and no tested solution was available on the market at that time that fulfilled those criteria. Wrightstyle took the challenge and came up with a solution that was based on high-specification structural glazing technique.
Wrightsyle has been pushing its boundaries since then, supplying glazing systems to major projects in the UK, US, and Asia-Pacific regions. It is a huge success now, protecting high-security buildings across the world.
