Weiqiao hikes prebaked anode purchasing price by RMB210/t

According to Shanghai Metals Market, Shandong Weiqiao Group, the top aluminium producer in China has raised the benchmark purchasing price of prebaked anode for the second month in a row. For March 2020, the company has hiked the benchmark purchasing price by RMB 210 per tonne to RMB 2,830 per tonne in cash. The benchmark price by acceptance is set at RMB 2,865 per tonne.

The prebaked anode price in the east has recorded an increase of RMB 210 per tonne to RMB 3,000 per tonne on March 2, after remaining flat at RMB 2,790 per tonne since February 4. The price is likely to move within a range of RMB 2,830- 3,170 per tonne.

The markets in the central and southwest China have also witnessed an increase of RMB 210 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 3,060 per tonne and RMB 3,370 per tonne. Their prices are likely to move within a range of RMB 2,880- 3,240 per tonne and RMB 3,200- 3,540 per tonne.

In the northwest, the prebaked anode price stands RMB 3,600 per tonne, up RMB 100 per tonne. The price is likely to range at RMB 3,500- 3,700 per tonne.
