US monthly aluminium crude metals and alloys imports from Australia in February’22 surge by 183.47%

As per the USGS data, US aluminium crude metals and alloys imports from Australia for February 2022 settled at 27,100 tonnes, which on a month-on-month scale surged by 17,540 tonnes or 183.47 percent from 9,560 tonnes in January 2022. On the other hand, for January 2022 a downfall of 46.88 percent or 8,440 tonnes was recorded on m-o-m basis from 18,000 tonnes in December 2021.

The total amount of crude metals and alloys imported by the United States for February 2022 halted at 262,000 tonnes. However, on m-o-m scale, the quantity had dwindled by 81,000 tonnes or 23.61 percent from 343,000 tonnes in January 2022.  A surge of 27,000 tonnes or 8.54 percent was recorded on a month-on-month forefront in January 2022 from 316,000 tonnes in December 2021.

In all 3,630,000 tonnes of US aluminium crude metals and alloys were imported by the United States in 2021. According to the USGS statistics, the highest amount US aluminium crude metals and alloys was imported from Canada, with the total coming to 169,000 tonnes. The highest exporter was Mexico, with the total stopping at 11,500 tonnes.
