US aluminium plates, sheets, and bars import from South Africa slumps by 31.71% Y-o-Y in September 2021

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the US imported 3,510 tonnes of US aluminium plates, sheets, and bars from South Africa in September 2021, showing a month-on-month descend of 3,780 per tonnes or by 51.85 percent. In August 2021, 7,290 tonnes of US aluminium plates, sheets, and bars were imported from South Africa, showing a hike of 6,270 tonnes from 1,020 tonnes in July 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, the US aluminium plates, sheets, and bars imported from South Africa in September 2021 moved down by 1,630 tonnes or by 31.71 percent from 5,140 tonnes.

From January to September, the imported aluminium plates, sheets, and bars from South Africa stood at 26,200 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount closed at 25,500 tonnes.

World Recycled Aluminium Market Analysis

As per the data shared by the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, imported from South Africa stood at 4,020 tonnes, showing a year-on-year slip of 1120 tonnes. The total amount recorded for September 2020 closed at 5,140 tonnes.
