
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States imported 10,200 tonnes of US aluminium plates, sheets and bars from China, showing a month-on-month descend of 4,700 per tonne or 31.54%. In September 2021, 14,900 tonnes of US aluminium plates, sheets and bars were imported from China, showing a steep downfall of 5,100 tonnes from 20,000 tonnes in August 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported from China in October 2021 ascended by 2,430 tonnes or by 31.27% from 7,770 tonnes in October 2020.
From January to October, the imported aluminium plates, sheets and bars from China pegged at 124,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount closed at 97,200 tonnes.
As per the data shared by the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, imported from China for October 2021 totalled at 10,300 tonnes, showing a year-on-year hike of 2,400 tonnes. The total amount for October 2020 settled at 7,900 tonnes.
