Turkey’s export of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to the US surge by 8.20% M-o-M in February’22

In February 2022, the United States imported 4,350 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars from Turkey, found the US Geological Survey (USGS). On a month-on-month basis, a hike of 330 tonnes or 8.20 per cent was witnessed from 4,020 tonnes in January 2022, which went on to decline by 70 tonnes or 1.71 per cent from 4,090 tonnes in December 2021.

As per the data, in February 2021, Turkey exported 3,310 tonnes of aluminium flat-rolled products to the United States, which on a Y-o-Y calculation heightened by 1,040 tonnes or 31.41 per cent to settle at 4,350 tonnes in February 2022.

European Aluminium Industry Focus 2022

The total amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported by the United States in February 2022 closed at 107,000 tonnes, which on an M-o-M forefront declined by 5,000 tonnes or 4.46 per cent from 112,000 tonnes in January 2022. In January, the amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported by the US hiked by 3,000 tonnes from 109,000 tonnes in December 2021.
