Three-month LME aluminium dipped 0.3% to settle at US$1,981.5 per tonne on Thursday, 28 January 2021. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$1,980-2,000 per tonne today.
As of Thursday January 28, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1979 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1979 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1978.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1978.50 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 2054.50 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 2054.50 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1424175 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1171000 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 253175 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1981.79 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2311 per tonne on Friday, 29 January 2021.
The most-liquid SHFE 2103 aluminium contract slipped 0.4% to end the day at RMB14,815 per tonne on Thursday, 28 January 2021. The most-active SHFE 2103 aluminium contract added 0.68% to close at RMB14,910 per tonne in overnight trading. SHFE aluminium is likely to trade between 14,600-14,950 today.
