Three-month LME aluminium slightly down to US$2,115/t; SHFE aluminium shed 0.82%
Three-month LME aluminium fell 0.76% to close at US$2,115 per tonne on Thursday, with stocks falling to 1,897,300 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,190-2,220 per tonne today.
As of Thursday, March 18, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2192 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2192per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2226.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2226.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2250 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2250 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1897300 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1514975 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 382325 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2214.68per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2667 per tonne on Friday, 19 March 2021.
The most-active SHFE 2105 aluminium contract fell 0.82% to end the day at RMB17,475 per tonne on Thursday with open interest losing 4,148 lots to 255,000 lots. The most-liquid SHFE 2105 aluminium contract fell 1.13% to settle at RMB17,490 per tonne. It is likely to trade between 17,300-17,600 today.
