Three-month LME aluminium slightly declined to US$2,385.5/t; SHFE aluminium shed 0.24%
Three-month LME aluminium fell 0.19% to close at US$2,385.5 per tonne on Tuesday. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,350-2,410 per tonne today.
As of Tuesday, May 25, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2341 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2341 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2372.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2372.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2384.50 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2384.50 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1733775 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1144900 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 588875 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2382.50 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2872 per tonne on Wednesday, 26 May 2021.
The most-active SHFE 2107 aluminium contract shed 0.24% to close the day at RMB18,370 per tonne on Tuesday. The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract rose 0.14% to settle at RMB18,335 per tonne on Tuesday night. It is likely to trade between 18,000-18,500 today. The price may keep fluctuating as the domestic aluminium demand is still in the peak season.
