Three-month LME aluminium settled at US$1,845.5/t on Monday; SHFE aluminium increased 0.85%
Three-month LME aluminium slid 0.97% to settle at US$1,845.5 per tonne on Monday. The contract is expected to trade between US$1,830-1,870 per tonne today.

As of Monday October 19, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1848 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1848 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1859 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1859 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1911 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1911 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1406550 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1174175 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 232375 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1863.59per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2208 per tonne on Tuesday, 20 October 2020.
The most-liquid SHFE 2011 aluminium contract climbed to an intraday high of RMB14,910 per tonne, closing 0.85% higher at RMB14,800 per tonne. Open interest rose 2,912 lots to 115,046 lots.
The contract declined 0.54% to close at RMB14,755 per tonne in overnight trading. It is likely to fluctuate between RMB14,600-15,000 per tonne today.
