Three-month LME aluminium opened the week lower at US$2,274/t; SHFE aluminium ended the day 0.72% higher
Three-month LME aluminium fell 0.15% to close at US$2,274 per tonne on Monday. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,250-2,280 per tonne today.
As of Monday, March 22, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2254 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2254 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2282.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2282.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2296 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2296 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1964025 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1299175 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 664850 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2256.52per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2683 per tonne on Tuesday, 23 March 2021.
The most-active SHFE 2105 aluminium contract ended the day 0.72% higher at RMB17,535 per tonne on Monday 22 March, with open interest adding 8,339 lots to 240,775 lots. The most-liquid SHFE 2105 aluminium contract rose 0.8% to settle at RMB17,675 per tonne on Monday night and is likely to trade between 17,500-17,700 today.
