Three-month LME aluminium ended 0.64% lower at US$1,783.5/t; SHFE aluminium decreased 0.97%

Three-month LME aluminium rebounded from an intraday low of US$1,773 per tonne to end 0.64% lower at US$1,783.5 per tonne on Wednesday. The contract is expected to fluctuate between US$1,770-1,810 per tonne today.

As of Wednesday September 9, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1740 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1740 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1777.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1777.50 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1853.50 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1853.50 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1526575 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1308000 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 218575 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1786.60per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2124 per tonne on Thursday, 10 September 2020.

The most-liquid SHFE 2010 aluminium contract finished the day 0.97% weaker at RMB14,355 per tonne in choppy trading on Wednesday. Open interest rose 767 lots to 122,000 lots.

The most-active SHFE 2010 aluminium contract edged 0.03% higher to settle at RMB14,385 per tonne in overnight trading. It is likely to trade between RMB14,300-14,500 per tonne today.
