Three-month LME aluminium closed the week higher at US$2,532/t; Aluminium surged 2.93%
Three-month LME aluminium rose 0.88% to close at US$2,532 per tonne on Friday. SMM expects the contract to move between US$2,520-2,580 per tonne today.
As of Friday, May 7, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2518.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2518.50 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2523.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2523.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2503 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2503 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1797100 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1231600 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 565500 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2543.81 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 3117 per tonne on Monday, 10 May 2021.
The most-active SHFE 2106 aluminium contract surged 2.93% to close the day at RMB19,855 per tonne on Friday. The most-liquid SHFE 2106 aluminium contract rose 0.76% to settle at RMB19,845 per tonne on Friday night. It is likely to move above 19,500 today.
