Three-month LME aluminium climbed 2.25% to settle at US$ 2,365.5/t; SHFE aluminium lost 0.69%
Three-month LME aluminium hit a new high of US$2,369 per tonne since May 2018 earlier in the session and then climbed 2.25% to settle at US$ 2,365.5 per tonne on Wednesday. SMM expects the contract to move between US$2,340-2,370 per tonne today.
As of Wednesday, April 21, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2344 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2344 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2337 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2337 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2350 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2350 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1809250 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1242675 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 566575 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2316.21per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2807 per tonne on Thursday, 22 April 2021.
The most-liquid SHFE 2106 aluminium contract finished the day 0.69% lower at RMB18,010 per tonne on Wednesday. The most-active SHFE 2106 aluminium contract rose 1.56% to close at RMB18,270 per tonne in overnight trading, with open interest rising 24,942 lots to 276,284 lots.
