The US export of aluminium scrap to Hong Kong remained to fluctuate M-o-M in 2019, a 167% growth reflects on Y-o-Y

The aluminium scrap export of the US to Hong Kong during January18-October’18 remained at 32,200 tonnes. In 2019 the scrap export rose to 86,100 tonnes, as of Y-o-Y basis growth of 167.39% was noticed, the excess volume of 53,900 tonnes.

In May’19 the US aluminium scrap export to Hong Kong stood at 11,200 tonnes; whereas in June’19 it ticked up by 17.85%, the total export was recorded 13,200 tonnes, rise in the volume of 2000 tonnes.

The US scrap export to Hong Kong in July’19 reflected at 9,430 tonnes, de-growth by 28.56%, while in August’19 the export again rose by 28.31% and the total volume stood at 12,100 tonnes.

In Sept’19 the scrap export to Hong Kong saw a steep downfall by 35.95%, the export volume stood at 7750 tonnes, lessen by 4350 tonnes. The Oct’19 also recorded a downturn by 3390 tonnes, a fall of 56.25%, low in export volume by 4360 tonnes.

During September’18-October’18 the total aluminium scrap export of the US to Hong Kong was recorded at 9800 tonnes and in the same phase in 2019 it was up by 13.67%, the total export volume was recorded 11,140 tonnes.
