
Taiwan’s imports of aluminium scrap from the US stood at 3,920 tonnes in November 2020, with a month-on-month decrease of 14.22%. Taiwan had imported 4,570 tonnes in October 2020. On a yearly basis, imports dropped by 5.31% from 4,140 tonnes in November 2019, as updated by the US Census Bureau.

In the first eleven months of 2020, Taiwan imported 39,000 tonnes of aluminium scrap, from 57,200 tonnes imported in the first eleven months of 2019. This marked a drop of 32% year-on-year.
Taiwan’s imports of total aluminium (semi-finished products, crude metals and alloy and scrap) from the US stood at 4,460 tonnes in November 2020, a decrease of 1.11% from 4,510 tonnes in November 2019. Imports declined by 10% from October’s imports of 4,960 tonnes.
In January-November 2020, total imports came in at 45,100 tonnes, down from 64,500 tonnes imported in January-November 2019.
