Taiwan’s Aluminium scrap import from the US remains stable during May-Oct’19

The aluminium scrap export by Taiwan from the US has been showing stability during May-Oct’19.

Taiwan’s total aluminium scrap import during Jan-Oct’18 from the US stood at 46,100 tonnes, whereas in 2019 during the same phase the scrap import was recorded at 53,100, a rise by 15.18%, and by the excess capacity of 7000 tonnes.

Taiwan’s total aluminium scrap import from the US during May-Oct’19 reflected at 28,270 tonnes. In May’19  the total aluminium scrap import stood at 5420 tonnes, whereas in June’19 it came down to 4650 tonnes, a de-growth by 14.20%.

The aluminium scrap import by Taiwan from the US in July’19 again showed a fall by 3620 tonnes, de-growth by 22.15%. In August’19 the total import of scrap stood at 4920 tonnes, a rise of 35.91%.

During September’19 the aluminium scrap export was accounted for 4420 tonnes, again a fall by 10.16%. The aluminium scrap import again rose in October’19 by 17.87%, while the import volume was 5210 tonnes.

In September-October 2018 the total aluminium import stood at 11,940 tonnes, whereas during 2019 at the same phase the import reflected 9630 tonnes, declined by 19.34%.
