
The Shanghai Metals Market, on November 7 witnessed an overall spike in aluminium prices, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price adding RMB 50 per tonne to close at RMB 19,170 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have circulated between RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 19,190 per tonne.

If we consider the SMM aluminium price on October 31, a week-on-week surge of RMB 90 per tonne or 0.47 per cent can be seen from RMB 19,080 per tonne recorded that day.
China’s major provinces have all experienced a boost in aluminium prices with the spot price rising the most in Foshan, Hangzhou and Chongqing by RMB 50 per tonne, to close at RMB 19,200 per tonne in the first city and RMB 19,170 per tonne in the next two. In Wuxi, the aluminium price soared by RMB 40 per tonne halting at RMB 19,170 per tonne. In Gongyi, Tianjin and Linyi, the aluminium prices have levitated by RMB 30 per tonne to officiate at RMB 19,040 per tonne, RMB 19,140 per tonne and RMB 19,170 per tonne. Lastly, in Shenyang, the aluminium price gained RMB 20 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,140 per tonne.
The low-carbon aluminium price in China has increased by RMB 55 per tonne to close at RMB 19,982 per tonne.
The price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and the price of high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have both augmented by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 26,700 per tonne and RMB 27,700 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and the price of aluminium alloy (A360) have collected RMB 50 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,850 per tonne and RMB 20,050 per tonne.
