
On November 3, the Shanghai Metals Market experienced mixed aluminium price trends, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price negating RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 19,170 per tonne. The average aluminium prices have circulated between RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 19,190 per tonne.

If we consider the SMM aluminium price on November 3, last year, it can be seen that there has been a Year-on-Year augmentation of RMB 920 per tonne or 5.04 per cent from RMB 18,250 per tonne recorded that day.
China’s central provinces have all witnessed upheaval in aluminium prices today, with it rising the highest in Shenyang and Tianjin by RMB 30 per tonne to close at RMB 19,170 per tonne each. Gongyi also faced hiking aluminium price trends, with its benchmark rate gaining RMB 10 per tonne, to finally settle at RMB 19,060 per tonne. In some of the other provinces where the aluminium price maintained a linear growth, we find Linyi and Hangzhou losing RMB 20 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,170 per tonne each. Other than that, in Foshan, Wuxi and Chongqing, the aluminium prices have descended by RMB 10 per tonne to officiate at RMB 19,200 per tonne, RMB 19,180 per tonne and RMB 19,180 per tonne.
The low-carbon aluminium price in China has slumped by RMB 16 per tonne, officiating at RMB 20,000 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A360) has lowered by RMB 50 per tonne to a halt at RMB 20,050 per tonne, while the prices of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloys (ADC12) have shown no particular alteration.
The aluminium powder price in China has shown no change today, remaining stoic at RMB 21.40 per kg.
