SMM A00 aluminium ingot price declines to RMB20,450/t; Alumina price surges by RMB62/t
On Wednesday, October 9, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price declined by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,450 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 to RMB 20 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 20,430 per tonne and RMB 20,470 per tonne.
As per the SMM data, the prices have slumped in all the provinces, with the highest in Gongyi, where it has dropped by RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,410 per tonne, followed by a fall of RMB 150 per tonne in Wuxi and Linyi to peg at RMB 20,450 per tonne and RMB 20,480 per tonne. On the same day in Hangzhou, the price dropped by RMB 140 per tonne to dock at RMB 20,460 per tonne. In Chongqing and Shenyang, the domestic aluminium ingot prices have dipped by RMB 120 per tonne and settled at RMB 20,420 per tonne. In Foshan and Tianjin the price has descended by RMB 110 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,310 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has also decreased by RMB 105 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,350 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price has fallen by RMB 100 per tonne to reside at RMB 27,500 per tonne and RMB 28,500 per tonne.
Alumina price
On the other hand, the alumina price has surged by RMB 62 per tonne to stop at RMB 4,170 per tonne. As per the data, the prices in Shanxi and Guangxi have heightened by RMB 75 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to clock at RMB 4,250 per tonne and RMB 4,130 per tonne. In Shandong and Henan, the prices have hiked by RMB 60 per tonne to arrive at RMB 4,130 per tonne and RMB 4,160 per tonne. In Guizhou the price has gained RMB 20 per tonne to reach RMB 4,105 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has lost RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,900 per tonne, with the average prices expected to stand between RMB 20,700 per tonne and RMB 21,100 per tonne. For (ADC12) and (A380) the prices have shown no change to peg at RMB 20,800 per tonne and RMB 21,800 per tonne.
