Shangqiu Yangguang Aluminium Product certified against ASI Performance Standard

Shangqiu Yangguang Aluminium Product Co., Ltd. has received Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard certification for its plant in Henan Province, China. The casthouse and material conversion facility manufactures aluminium alloy plate, sheet, and strip.

Fiona Solomon, Chief Executive Officer at ASI said, “Congratulations to Shangqiu Yangguang Aluminium Product Co., Ltd. on achieving this ASI Performance Standard Certification. The Shenhuo Group has followed through on their plan to continue certifying their operations, following on the ASI Performance Standard and Chain of Custody Standard certifications at their flagship foil plant in Shanghai. This reinforces the overall momentum we are seeing for a sustainable aluminium industry in China.”

The ASI Certification program is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard initiative for the aluminium value chain. The program was developed through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation process.

The independent, third-party audit of the Shangqiu Yangguang Aluminium Product Co., Ltd. facility was carried out by DNV GL.
