According to a recent update from SMM, one of the large-scale aluminium enterprises in Shandong plans to launch four new Achenbach 1850 aluminium foil mills, with annual capacity of about 30,000 tonnes. After China has taken up measures to cut primary aluminium capacity across the country, aluminium enterprises in China are looking at investing in the downstream sector. Shandong province has announced big slash in aluminum output by over 2 million tonnes. Downstream investment is also driven by projected growth in the automotive and construction sector in China.
The said Shandong aluminium enterprise is also aiming at seeking high value-added aluminium products to ensure profitability.
The factory has already been built and the equipment is going to be installed in the end of 2017. The plant is estimated to go into operation in the middle of next year.
Achenbach is recognized worldwide as a specialist in premium rolling mills for flat-rolled products made of aluminium and other metals. It also supports smooth and rapid final assembly and commissioning at the customer site.
