SEI’s Aluminum-Celmet To Make Electric Vehicles 300% More Efficient

Sumitomo Electric Industries (SEI) is a Japanese company that has developed porous aluminum which can potentially boost the efficiency of electric vehicles (EVs) by over 300%. SEI manufactures electric cables, wires and optic-fiber cable. The porous aluminum developed by SEI can be combined with Lithium Ion Batteries to boost their efficiencies by over 3 times. Aluminum Celmet’s 3D structure is capable of forming structure with pores which can increase the efficiency by over 300%. Celmet has 80% more pores than any conventional pores material.
