Compression Limiters play a crucial role in fortifying high-stress joints within plastic assemblies, mainly where bolts are employed to connect components. These limiters safeguard plastic components from excessive compression, effectively absorbing the load during bolt tightening to the specified torque, thus ensuring the joint's longevity and reliability over the product's lifespan.
The CL6000 series is meticulously machined from 2024-grade aluminium and is renowned for its optimal blend of strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, and cost-effectiveness. Compared to brass counterparts, these aluminium Compression Limiters boast 40 per cent greater strength while weighing only one-third as much, offering a compelling balance of performance and efficiency.
SPIROL is introducing the CL6100 Headed Compression Limiter, which shares all the characteristics of the CL6000 while incorporating a head for applications necessitating an increased bearing surface for the mating component. Furthermore, for scenarios requiring a non-aluminium galvanic option, SPIROL is launching the CL8000 brass precision machined Compression Limiters along with the CL8100-headed brass variant.
