Hindalco Industries Limited has slashed its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices, with effect from Tuesday, December 13, following a hike a weak ago. According to the latest price chart revealed by the company, aluminium ingot price has experienced a cut of INR 5,500 per tonne or 2.36 per cent to stand at INR 227,250 per tonne as of December 13 versus INR 232,750 per tonne on December 6.
In October 2022, primary aluminium production in North America stood at 313,000 tonnes, rising by 3.99 per cent or 12,000 tonnes month-on-month. In September, the output was 301,000 tonnes, down by 4,000 tonnes or 1.31 per cent from 305,000 tonnes in August.

China’s social inventories of primary aluminium have suffered a loss of 18,000 tonnes week-on-week to reach a new low on Thursday, December 15. Vedanta Limited’s aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices have rebounded on December 16 after a dip on the previous day. On Thursday, December 15, the company cut its aluminium ingot selling price by INR 1,250 per tonne to INR 228,250- 259,250 per tonne but added to same amount on the next day to bring its ingot price back to INR 227,000 -258,000 per tonne.

The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 100 to RMB 140 per tonne.
