A00 aluminium ingot price in China slumps by RMB80/t; Alumina spot price went up by RMB2/t

On Friday, December 16, the A00 aluminium ingot price in China slumped by RMB 80 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,840 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 18,820 per tonne and RMB 18,860 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 100 to RMB 140 per tonne.

The price in Shenyang and Linyi has slipped by RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 80 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,810 per tonne and RMB 18,840 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the A00 aluminium ingot price in Wuxi and Hangzhou has descended by RMB 75 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,850 per tonne. In Gongyi and Chongqing, the prices recorded a fall of RMB 40 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,680 per tonne and RMB 18,870 per tonne. In Foshan and Tianjin, the prices shrunk by RMB 50 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,740 per tonne and RMB 18,890 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price in China, on the other hand, went up by RMB 2 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,910/t. The price in Shandong increased by RMB 10 per tonne to score at RMB 2,875 per tonne, and in other provinces, the price remained restrained.

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China has dropped by RMB 32 per tonne to reach RMB 19,333 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have decreased by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 26,800 per tonne and RMB 27,800 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.1 per tonne to peg at RMB 20.4 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 20.3 per tonne and RMB 20.5 per tonne.
