Every Can Counts (ECC) has unveiled a giant art installation outside Trafford Centre to highlight the importance of recycling during Recycle Week 2026 (14th – 20th September). The Infinity Sculpture, made from more than 1,200 recycled drink cans, has been created to illustrate the life cycle of a drink can, highlighting that aluminium can be recycled time and time again. Shoppers and centre visitors can get a glimpse of the can-based artwork that will be on display by the Great Hall Entrance at Trafford Centre until Sunday 20th September to mark the occasion. The first aluminium road bridge in Russia - a true innovation for the aluminium and construction industry - has opened for traffic. A 72-metre-long bridge across the Linda River was built in the town of Bor on the Tolokontsevo – Mogiltsy motorway. The spans (beams) and orthotropic plates are entirely made of aluminium alloys – such technologies had never been applied in bridge building in Russia previously. The bridge has been constructed by state order of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Government. The company pursues an ambitious goal to reduce its CO 2 emissions with every new investment. The electrically heated high-speed convection furnace (EHKO) from extrutec offers a system configuration that covers the complete basic heating with electric resistance-heating elements.
