Powerhouse could be 'Tesla of the building industry'

"Buildings account for 40 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions. Suppose an ordinary, worn-out office building could produce twice as much energy as it consumes? This utopian idea is now a reality – in Sandvika outside Oslo."
This is how an article in the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten introduces the first "Powerhouse," which is a refurbished office building just outside Norway's capital city.
The office building is energy positive, meaning that it produces more energy than it consumes over its lifetime. On top of that, it produces enough electricity to compensate for the energy used to set up and refurbish the building and to produce the materials used.
