Aluminium is preferred in beverage packaging due to its recyclability and durability. With a rising shift towards eco-conscious choices, aluminium helps brands reduce their environmental footprint. The expansion reflects aluminium’s increasing role in circular economy strategies.
The investment plan covers expanding the plant’s infrastructure, acquiring advanced machinery, and upgrading existing production lines. This project will help CANPACK retain over 450 jobs and generate more than 100 new roles.
Marian Miskov, Regional Director, Poland and Steel Group Business Unit Director, said: “The investment of CANPACK in the expansion of the factory in Bydgoszcz is a response to the growing demand of our customers from Poland and Europe for aluminium beverage cans.
“Thanks to its implementation, the production capacity of our Bydgoszcz plant will increase by approximately one billion cans per year. Ultimately, we will create over 100 new jobs and strengthen our position in the European market, where we currently rank second among can manufacturers.
“We have been present in Bydgoszcz for over 24 years, and we are proud to continue the long and rich history of beverage can production in Poland and Europe.”
CANPACK’s expansion underlines its commitment to sustainability, innovation and local economic growth. The enhanced facility will reinforce its position as a key aluminium packaging supplier in the US beverage market.
