Passive House Institute accredits Sapa's WICLINE 95 window series

The WICLINE 95 window series is one of the most advanced aluminium-frame components to be accredited by the Passive House Institute – and the second accredited passive house window that is being produced by the Sapa group.
The WICLINE 95 series is manufactured by Wicona, while the Avantis 95 series is produced by Sapa Building System. Both products have been accredited by the Passive House Institute, an independent research institute located in Darmstadt, Germany.

Wicona’s new window series maximizes energy efficiency to meet passive house criteria, and it allows design flexibility with its modular design.
WICLINE 95 achieves a Uf value up to 0.68 W/(m²K) and a Uw value less than 0.80 W/(m²K), without the need for thermal inserts in the sash or frame profile. Uw is used to determine the overall value of the window, which incorporates the values Ug for the glazing and Uf for the frame.
In meeting the phB passive house efficiency standard, the WICLINE 95 is one of the most advanced aluminium frame components to be accredited by the Passive House Institute.
Sapa Building System’s Avantis 95 series is based on classical window design principles and requires no additional fabrication steps. It can be constructed as a normal window, resulting in smooth, fast and easy implementation in production and in traditional on-site installation.
