Amarendra Kumar Mishra, the Executive Director of the M&R Complex Alumina Refinery, with the Chief General Manager of BSNL Odisha Circle, Rudra Narayan Palai and other officials, was present at the ceremony.
The network is cloud-native and designed to be easily upgraded to 5G, with initial deployment covering multiple states, including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and others. As of late 2025, over 97,500 towers have been commissioned to provide widespread, affordable, and reliable high-speed internet.

Improved operational efficiency is one of the key benefits of this technology for NALCO. With reliable high-speed internet, the company can run real-time monitoring systems, support IoT-based industrial equipment (machines and devices in a factory that are connected to the internet so they can send and receive data automatically), enable digital reporting and maintenance processes, ensuring faster data transfer between different units of the refinery.
