
One of the world’s largest mining and resources conference, the International Mining and Resources Conference is being held from October 29 to November 1 at Melbourne, Australia, the leading mining hub of the world.
The conference is being attended by over 6,000 delegates from more than 90 countries. The event will bring together decision makers, mining leaders, policy makers, investors, commodity buyers, technical experts, innovators and educators for four days of learning, deal-making and networking.
{alcircleadd}National Aluminium Company (Nalco) has been designated as the representative organisation to set up an India Pavilion and promote “Make in India” during the event.

The India Pavilion is showcasing the achievement of India as a hub for mining and mineral resources, highlighting the aluminium value chain. The pavilion was inaugurated by Union Mines Joint Secretary AK Nayak and Nalco CMD Dr TK Chand unveiled the INDIA at IMARC 2018 web portal. India's participation in the conference is aimed at exploring the avenues for collaboration in the fields of acquisition of mineral resources, mining and metallurgical technology, exploration in geo science studies etc.
Nalco has generated huge enthusiasm among the global corporates from the mining and metal sector as the lowest-cost alumina producer in the world. Expansion of Nalco from being a bauxite miner and alumina maker to a producer of value added aluminium products is also being highlighted in the pavilion.
Nalco also projected Odisha as the “Aluminium Capital of India” blessed with the availability of highest quality bauxite and alumina refining capacity where all major aluminium producers have their smelting facilities.
Nalco also showcased the Angul Aluminium Park and invited high-end aluminium downstream product makers to come and set up units in the park in Angul, Odisha. The company also invited top global corporates from aluminium sector to come to Bhubaneswar and participate in the International Aluminium Conference (INCAL 2019), to be held from January 30 to February 1.
