Momentum Manufacturing Group, one of the leading manufacturers of aluminium extrusion in the US, has announced that phase two of their capacity expansion is underway. To increase output at its manufacturing facility at 43 Industrial Park Drive in Franklin, which produces customised aluminium profiles for various sectors, the business is investing $11 million. The project will create 35 possibilities for advanced manufacturing careers.

The investment comprises a $6 million building project to expand the company's current 115,000-square-foot facility by 35,000 square feet of production and logistical support space. To accommodate increased production volumes made feasible by a new 2,920 tonne, 8-inch extrusion press line introduced as part of phase one's $14 million investment, another $5 million will be invested in additional automated handling equipment.
"We're excited for the opportunity to expand our facility and bring more employment opportunities to the area. Demand for custom aluminum extrusions continues to grow, which creates a variety of rewarding careers for those interested in advanced manufacturing," said Andrew Curland, president of Momentum Manufacturing Group – Engineered Extrusions.
The business's extrusion production plant and machining and fabrication activity employ more than 150 people. In Merrimack County, the manufacturing expansion project will provide approximately 35 new job opportunities for engineering technicians, system operators, and logistical support.
