On this occasion, the Board of Commissioners and Directors of PT IAA, Carry EF Mumbunan, Togu Sihombing, Ricky Gunawan, and Agus Wibowo were present in addition to the Managing Director of PT Inalum, Danny Praditya, Senior Vice President of PT Inalum Rainaldi Harahap, Kuspriyono, and Benny Alexander Wiwoho.

Hendi Santoso said, "We have great hopes from the Mind ID Group that this capacity can be increased as much as possible while at the same time developing marketing by making derivative products made by factories today."

Implementing this partial commissioning further strengthens PT IAA's steps towards the final critical phase, namely the COD (Commercial Operations Date) targeted for February 2023. On January 6, 2023, Ricky Gunawan, the Managing Director of PT IAA, stated after a meeting with the Main Commissioner of PT IAA Carry EF Mumbunan, Commissioner of PT Indonesia Aluminum Alloy Togu Sihombing and officials from this subsidiary of PTInalum.

PT IAA, founded on May 22, 2020, is a subsidiary of PT Inalum (Persero), which operates in the midstream and downstream sectors of the aluminium industry. Prior to beginning commercial operations, PT IAA renovated the factory purchased by PT Inalum (Persero) in 2019. The factory has never been operational since its completion in 1994.

One of the options to boost PT Inalum's production capacity in response to the directive of Presidential Regulation Number 3 of 2016 about the Acceleration of Implementation of National Strategic Projects is this secondary aluminium company.

Inalum, through PT IAA, is required to implement a downstream product programme to boost revenue and EBITDA and a mandate to Mind ID based on the shareholders' mandate to MIND ID.

World Recycled Aluminium Market Analysis

In accordance with the 2030 Vision, PT IAA has set a roadmap divided into three stages: (i) The penetration stage with a target of 50 KTPA by 2025. (ii) The strengthening stage with a target of entering the extrusion business by 2028. (iii) The development stage with an increase in capacity of 70 KTPA and entering into the alloy business in 2030.
