
Three-month LME aluminium settled 0.71 per cent lower at US$ 2,313.50 per tonne on Tuesday, April 20. Today, the price is expected to move between US$ 2,300-2,330 per tonne.

LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price stood at US$ 2,324 per tonne on April 20, reflecting a decline of US$ 7 per tonne from US$ 2,331 per tonne on April 19. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price declined from US$ 2,342.50 per tonne to US$ 2,330 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price came in at US$ 2,343.50 per tonne, climbing down by US$ 10 per tonne from the previous day.
The LME aluminium opening stock decreased from 1819625 tonnes to 1812625 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1246450 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants stood at 566175 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price plunged from US$ 2,344.01 per tonne on April 19 to US$ 2,337.73 per tonne on April 20, 2021.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE recorded a decline of US$ 15 per tonne to stand at US$ 2,772 per tonne on April 21, following an increase to US$ 2,787 per tonne on April 20.
The most-active SHFE 2106 aluminium contract slid 0.94 per cent to close at RMB 17,960 per tonne in overnight trading. SHFE aluminium price today is likely to be traded between RMB 17,900-18,200 per tonne.
