The London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminium price chart posted a modest recovery on the July 20 session after declining on the July 19 trading session. While the pricing segments improved, the three-month benchmark and the inventories declined.
{alcircleadd}The LME aluminium cash bid expanded 0.1 per cent day-on-day on July 20, rising to USD 3,155 per tonne from USD 3,152 per tonne. The offer shifted to USD 3,156 per tonne from USD 3,154 per tonne, representing a 0.06 per cent gain.

The LME aluminium three-month bid as well as offer prices reported modest improvements by 0.03 per cent on July 20. As the bid moved to USD 3,147 per tonne from USD 3,146 per tonne, the offer settled at USD 3,147.5 per tonne from USD 3,146.5 per tonne.
In the longer-dated contract segment, both the Dec-27 bid and offer prices posted a 0.16 per cent gain over the previous session. The bid closed at USD 3,082 per tonne, climbing from USD 3,077 per tonne, and the offer jumped to USD 3,087 per tonne from USD 3,082 per tonne.

The LME aluminium three-month Asian Reference Price closed at USD 3,140 on July 20, down by 0.33 per cent from USD 3150.5 per tonne on July 19.
LME aluminium stocks recorded further decline as of July 20. The opening stocks, slipping to 280,100 tonnes from 281,600 tonnes, reported a 0.53 per cent drop.
Live Warrants remained unchanged at 245,900 tonnes.
Cancelled warrants, however, amounted to 33,875 tonnes, slipping by 0.95 per cent from 34,200 tonnes.
LME alumina platts closed at 335.41 per tonne on July 20.
