Three-month LME aluminum opened at US$2,178 per tonne last evening and closed at US$2,206 per tonne, a rise of US$30 per tonne or 1.38 per cent.
On Tuesday, October 24, LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price grew by US$2 per tonne, following a fall of US$7.5 per tonne on the previous day. Thus, the prices stand at US$2,146 per tonne and US$2,146.50 per tonne.
However, on the other hand, 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price decreased by US$0.50 per tonne and US$2 per tonne to peg at US$2,171.50 per tonne and US$2,172 per tonne, respectively. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price also dipped by US$1 per tonne on October 24 to stand at US$2,292 per tonne and US$2,297 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock also fell by 2,000 tonnes from the previous day to settle at 484,450 tonnes. Live Warrants stood restrained at 203,525 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants dropped by 2,000 tonnes to 280,925 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price gained US$13.05 per tonne to come in at US$2,181.99 per tonne, as of October 24.
SHFE aluminium price
On Wednesday, October 25, the aluminium benchmark price on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) escalated by US$32 per tonne or 1.24 per cent to reach US$2,616 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2312 aluminum contract opened at RMB 18820 per tonne in last night trading session, with the lowest and highest at RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,980 per tonne, up RMB 170 per tonne or 0.90 per cent.
