LME aluminium price opened the week higher at US$ 2012.5/t; SHFE edged down 2.34%

Benchmark aluminium price on London Metal Exchange dropped 1.78 per cent to US$ 2012.5 per tonne on Monday, 21 December 2020, from US$ 2049 per tonne on Friday.

As of Monday December 21, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2012.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2012.50 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2023.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2023.50 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 2038.50per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 2038.50per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1390350 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1201500 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 188850 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2031.42per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2456 per tonne on Tuesday, 22 December 2020.

The most-liquid SHFE 2101 aluminium contract finished the day 2.34% lower at RMB16,280 per tonne on Monday. Open interest fell 16,275 lots to 97,601 lots.
