LME aluminium price mounts to US$2,280/t on September 9; SHFE market is closed on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival
On Friday, September 9, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$24 per tonne or 1.06 per cent to settle at US$2,279.50 per tonne and US$2,280 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price grew by US$22 per tonne or 0.97 per cent to rest at US$2,289 per tonne and US$2,290 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price gained US$25 per tonne or 1.06 per cent to peg at US$2,372 per tonne and US$2,377 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 335275 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 256900 tonnes and 78375 tonnes, respectively.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price expanded by US$57.49 per tonne or 2.52 per cent to record at US$2,330.63 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
The SHFE market is closed on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival from September 10 to September 12. However, on Friday, September 9, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price experienced a US$59 per tonne or 2.23 per cent upward strike to arrive at US$2,709 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2210 aluminium closed up 2.99 per cent or RMB 550 per tonne to RMB 18,965 per tonne, with open interest up 7,953 lots to 174,663 lots.
