LME aluminium opened at US$2,625 per tonne last night and closed at US$2,635 per tonne, an increase of US$10.5 per tonne or 0.4 percent.
On Wednesday, December 8, LME aluminium cash (bid) price inched by US$0.5 per tonne or by 0.01 percent to peg at US$2,625 per tonne. LME aluminium official settlement price increased slightly by US$1 per tonne or by 0.03 percent to close at US$2,626 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price stood at US$2,625 per tonne and US$2,627 per tonne. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price totalled at US$2,618 per tonne and US$2,623 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock was recorded at 894350 tonnes. Live warrants for the same day totalled at 710375 tonnes and cancelled warrant closed at 183975 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price registered at US$2,631.50 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
On Thursday, December 9, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE moved down by US$6 per tonne to settle at US$2,962 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium closed up 0.61 percent or RMB 115 per tonne to RMB 18870 per tonne, with open interest down 9306 lots to 178045 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,900 per tonne, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 18,930 per tonne and RMB 18,740 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,880 per tonne, up RMB 25 per tonne or 0.13 percent.
