LME aluminium price hikes by US$38.5/t to US$2,430.50/t; SHFE price moves down by US$19/t

LME aluminium opened at US$2,455 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$2,459 per tonne, a decrease of US$3 per tonne or 0.12 per cent.

On Tuesday, February 22, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$40 per tonne or 1.67 per cent and US$38.5 per tonne or 1.60 per cent to stand at US$2,430 per tonne and US$2,430.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price surged by US$42 per tonne or 1.72 per cent to stand at US$2,470 per tonne and US$2,472 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price expanded by US$37 per tonne or 1.42 per cent to halt at US$2,635 per tonne and US$2,640 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock halted at 581300 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 451725 tonnes and 129575 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price increased by US$20.65 per tonne or 0.85 per cent, to settle at US$2,448.96 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Wednesday, February 22, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price has descended by US$19 per tonne or 0.69 per cent to close at US$2,719 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2303 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,830 per tonne overnight before closing at RMB 18,775 per tonne, a drop of RMB 45 per tonne or 0.24 per cent.
