
LME aluminium opened at US$2,673 per tonne on Wednesday and closed at US$2,703 per tonne, an increase of $30.50 per tonne or 1.14 per cent.

On Wednesday, November 24, both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price grew for the second day in a row by US$8 per tonne to stand at US$2,698 per tonne and US$2,699 per tonne, respectively. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price grew by US$6 per tonne to settle at US$2,690.50 per tonne and US$2,691 per tonne. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price climbed to US$2,657 per tonne and US$2,662 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock on November 24 decreased to 923700 tonnes. Live warrants remained restrained at 573950 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants plunged to 349750 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price amounted to US$2,684.82 per tonne, as of November 24.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
The benchmark aluminium price for SHFE surged to US$3,035 per tonne on Thursday, November 25, following an intermittent decline of US$7 per tonne on the previous day.
The most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium closed up 0.34 per cent or RMB 65 yuan per tonne to stand at RMB 19,250 per tonne, with open interest down 6556 lots to 208194 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2201 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,320 per tonne, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 19,520 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,370 per tonne.
