LME aluminium price grows for the second day in a row to US$2449/t; SHFE price gains US$32/t to US$2985/t

Three-month LME aluminium rose 0.33 per cent to close at US$ 2,465.50 per tonne on Thursday, July 22.

LME aluminium price grows for the second day in a row to US$2449/t

LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price increased for the second day in a row by US$ 17 per tonne to come in at US$ 2,449 per tonne on Thursday, July 22. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price climbed by US$ 13.50 per tonne to stand at US$ 2,462.50 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price grew from US$ 2,437 per tonne to US$ 2,446 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock continued to decrease from 1434125 tonnes to 1430200 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 891750 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants closed at 538450 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price hovered around US$ 2,458.13per tonne as of July 22.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE gained US$ 32 per tonne to end the week on Friday, July 23, at US$ 2,985 per tonne.

The most-liquid SHFE 2109 aluminium contract rose 0.94 per cent to settle at RMB 19,290 per tonne on Thursday night.
