
On Monday, 4th of April, LME aluminium cash bid price stopped at US$3,443.50 per tonne and LME aluminium official settlement price was last recorded at US$3,444 per tonne, with a 1.12 per cent downfall, in comparison with the records of the previous week, both witnessed a decline of US$39 per tonne.

We have reached the 40th day of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and US president Joe Biden has already called against Putin, branding him a war criminal. But now there are reports of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy finally breaking his silence and speaking to the UN Council. Progress in the peace talks might eventually standardise the price of commodity products, ferrous and non-ferrous metal etc.
The 3-month bid price of aluminium decreased by US$38 per tonne or 1.09 per cent to rest at US$3,459 per tonne. Similarly, 3-month offer price also dropped the same amount, i.e. US$38 resting at US$3,461 per tonne.
December 23 bid price stood at US$3,325 per tonne and December23 offer price at US$3,330, both witnessing a downward swing of 0.75 per cent and 0.74 per cent respectively or US$25 per tonne in each case.
LME aluminium opening stock continued to decline from 635,975 tonnes to 629,775 tonnes or 0.97 per cent as of 4th April. Live warrants totalled 414,725 tonnes recording a subtraction of 18,850 tonnes from the day before. Only cancelled warrants had a rise of 6.25 per cent resting at 215,050 tonnes.
The LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price stooped by 0.23 per cent to limit the bar at US$3,466.63 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
SHFE readings would not be available for the Qingming Festival in China (The Tomb-Sweeping Day) from April 3, 2022 to April 5, 2022. As estimated, reports of the Shanghai metal market would be again available from tomorrow, April 6, 2022.
