
Three-month LME aluminium lost 1.23 per cent to settle at US$ 2,405 per tonne in the overnight trading, and is expected to trade between US$ 2,380-2,460 per tonne today. The strong US employment data and the concerns of currency policies boosted the US dollar and weighed on non-ferrous metals.

Both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price extended downfall sharply by US$ 55.50 per tonne or 2.27 per cent to close at US$ 2,386.50 per tonne on Thursday, June 3.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE also continued to decline marking the fourth day in a row. As of Friday, June 4, SHFE aluminium price is standing at US$ 2,854 per tonne, down by US$ 60 per tonne or 2.06 per cent from the previous day.

The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract finished the day 1.37 per cent lower at RMB 18,425 per tonne. Open interest fell 632 lots to 205,880 lots.
