
The LME aluminium benchmark price rose slightly on Wednesday, February 9, following four consecutive days of hike from US$3,043 per tonne to US$3,245 per tonne.

On Wednesday, February 9, LME aluminium cash (bid) price inched up by US$2 per tonne, while LME aluminium official settlement price gained US$3 per tonne to come in at US$3,246 per tonne and US$3,248 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price jumped by US$30 per tonne to settle at US$3,224.50 per tonne and US$3,225.50 per tonne. December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price totalled at US$2,880 per tonne and US$2,885 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock further decreased to 761950 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants was recorded at 418850 tonnes and 343100 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price closed at US$3,206.12 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Thursday, February 10, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE has surged by US$69 per tonne or 1.92 per cent to close at US$3,664 per tonne.
