LME aluminium benchmark price falls by US$39/t to US$2,341.50/t; SHFE market is closed for Qingming Festival

On Tuesday, April 4, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price contracted by US$39.5 per tonne or 1.65 per cent and US$39 per tonne or 1.63 per cent to settle at US$2,340.50 per tonne and US$2,341.50 per tonne.

3-month bid price and 3-month offer price dropped by US$36 per tonne or 1.48 per cent to peg at US$2,393 per tonne and US$2,394 per tonne.

December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price slumped by US$37 per tonne or 1.41 per cent and 1.40 per cent to score at US$2,583 per tonne and US$2,588 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock settled at 520100 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants scored at 418750 tonnes and 101350 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price inched down by US$0.43 per tonne or 0.01 per cent to halt at US$2,391.69 per tonne.

SHFE aluminium price

The SHFE market is closed today for the Qingming Festival. However, yesterday, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price stood at US$2,705 per tonne, with a US$7 per tonne or 0.26 per cent drop.
